There are hundreds of facial creams on the market today, and if you’re looking for a product that will effectively moisturize your skin without causing damage, you may feel overwhelmed by all of the potential choices available. Below you will find reviews of the most popular moisturizers.

While everyone’s skin is different, there are some basic tips for choosing a moisturizer. As you shop, consider the ingredients on the labels and look for moisturizers that are non-comedonal, as this means there are no pore-clogging ingredients that have the potential to cause acne or irritate the skin. This is especially important if you have skin that is oily or prone to acne, as you are already most likely fighting these problems.

If your skin is prone to irritation, consult your dermatologist before using any moisturizers that contain potentially irritating ingredients.

I have used Cetaphil for oily skin in the past but wanted something to help mattify my skin better. I now use Citrus Clear’s Control Moisturizer – its thicker than what I had in mind for a facial lotion, but I don’t care because the product delivers what I need. It absorbs quickly and is a good primer before I apply my concealer and foundation. I stay shine free all day

  2. Dayana

I prefer the Olay Pro x as well. Nice moisturizer that fights wrinkles and has some anti aging benefits. Olay 7 effects is an older moisturizer and judging by the many Olay reviews the Pro x is the best choice.

  3. Victoria

My favorite moisturizer, hands down, is Olay Pro X Moisturizer spf 30. Unlike sunscreen, it feels lightweight and doesn’t have the sunblock feeling. I wear it every morning before I go out. I have been given professional advice about what I should and shouldn’t do to prevent aging and wrinkles and the number one tip was to wear sunscreen religiously.

  4. NY Mama

I love the Lady Soma Renew Serum. I use it in the morning before putting on my make up and I feel it gives my face a nice finish and helps my make-up to last longer. I also apply it at night. It has a wonderful feel when you apply it to your face and it absorbs nicely – with no sticky or dry feeling. I have not noticed any negative effects on the condition of my skin, such as causing blemishes or redness. I generally have normal skin so don’t usually have much of a problem anyway.

I highly recommend Lady Soma to 40 something women who are looking to combat those visible signs of aging that don’t require more drastic or heavier measures to fight.

  5. Wrinkless

I have been using Garnier Nutritioniste Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Day and Night Moisturizer and this is by far the best moisturizer for wrinkles. I have used a lot of products that claim to be the new best thing but they all offer similar anti aging benefits and Garnier is cheap compared to other anti wrinkle moisturizers.

Olay is probably the best anti aging moisturizer under $20. Brands like Estee Lauder, Clairns, Clinique and Elizabeth Arden are great but will set you back more.

Nerium is a great product – their night cream truly works miracles. It is a bit pricey, but much less than a face lift. I have also tried Oil of Olay’s Regenerist Sculpting Cream and that works pretty well too. I had a bit of a break out with white heads when I first used it – it seems to be clearing up more now, but it is lifting and toning. My fine lines are less noticeable. I feel that their claim to erase 10 years is on track.

Nerium is much more lifting – but slightly more drying. Their night cream has a stronger smell – which some people object too, but I don’t care if it smells like tar – if it works as well as it does and removes about 20 years, then what do you care what it smells like? It doesn’t smell at all after it is absorbed and has dried on your skin. It only smells as you are first applying it.

Oil of Olay Regenerist Sculpting is a better buy – but doesn’t have the same lifting action as Nerium.

I have tried everything! The best luck I’ve had is with the boots products. I sure see a difference at a great cost!

I agree with you Esther I think Olay Regenerist is the best facial moisturizer unless you are wealthy and can afford Clinique or Estee Lauder. I am not sure about Origins but I have also heard that Neutrogena, Cerave, Garnier, roc, philosophy la mer and avon make good moisturizers for wrinkles. You have to make sure you are using non comedogenic moisturizer or it might cause breakouts. It should also be oil free if you have oily skin. You can use something oily if you have dry skin. The best place to buy a moisturizer is at the drugstore because they are more informed and can ask you questions like do you have dry or oily or sensitive skin.

The best facial moisturizer for value is Okay Regenerist. Forget about spending $200 on a face moisturizer that doesn’t work. If you want something for wrinkles, you need to have surgery. Believe me. I have had lots of laser done and it has only made things worse.
