Shiseido Reviews: A Review of The 10 Most Popular Shiseido Skin Care Products

SKIN CARE REVIEWS

12.29.22DISCLAIMER

Did you know that Shiseido is the oldest and fourth-largest cosmetics company in the world? Founded in 1872, Shiseido was Japan’s first Western-style pharmacy that quickly grew in popularity by building a clientele of royalty and high society.

Over the years, Shiseido shifted from pharmaceuticals to cosmetics with the introduction of their Eudermine skin lotion, which is still popular today. The brand has expanded to offer an entire collection of skincare products, as well as sunscreen, makeup, and even a line of men’s products.

In order to determine how well these products perform, we’ll have to evaluate the formulation details, including the key ingredients in Shiseido skincare products and the research that supports (or doesn’t support) their use in skincare.

We’ll also share some Shiseido reviews so that you can get an idea of what customers really think of these products.

Is Shiseido Skincare Worth The Money?

A common question about this brand is if the products are worth the cost.

In our opinion, Shiseido products deliver value for money, but take a look at other brands that don’t require you to sacrifice your precious money.

We recommend brands that are committed to developing clean yet effective products.

One brand is Carrot & Stick, a clean skincare brand that perfectly balances the gentle nurturing of plants with the powerful results of innovative science.

What Are The Top 10 Most Popular Shiseido Skin Care Products?

Shiseido skin care products include everything you need to create a complete regimen, such as cleansers, masks, moisturizers, serums, sunscreens, and more. Here’s a breakdown of the top 10 most popular Shiseido skin care products.

Shiseido Waso Color Smart Day Moisturizer

Let’s face it: we all have days when it feels like way too much effort to apply a full face of makeup, but we still want to quickly cover up imperfections. That’s when a tinted moisturizer can be a life-saver.

Shiseido Waso Color Smart Day Moisturizer is a tinted moisturizer that’s said to adapt to your skin color to enhance skin tone while also providing long-lasting hydration.

It’s true that the formula easily blends into skin to provide sheer coverage, but the promise of “long-lasting hydration” isn’t exactly true.

That’s because the formula contains a pretty high concentration of denatured alcohol, a type of drying alcohol that’s not doing your skin any favors, and may actually be causing damage (we’ll explain more about this in the Key Ingredients section below).

There are two sunscreen ingredients in this moisturizer — titanium dioxide and octinoxate — that provide broad spectrum SPF 30 protection.

The rest of the formula primarily consists of silicones, ingredients that give the product a silky texture while also helping to disguise lines and wrinkles.

Bottom Line: Shiseido Waso Color Smart Day Moisturizer is a tinted moisturizer that provides sheer coverage and broad-spectrum SPF 30 protection, but the high concentration of denatured alcohol prevents us from recommending this product.

ALTERNATIVES: Carrot & Stick The Moisturizer. It’s overflowing with potent plant proteins, vitamins, peptides and amino-collagen.

Shiseido Benefiance NutriPerfect Night Cream

Just reading through the claims for this Shiseido night cream caused us to raise our eyebrows. Why? Well, the formula is claimed to “help dramatically improve the look of wrinkles, sagging, and dullness”.

Sure, products can improve the look of wrinkles and dullness, but no topical product is going to dramatically improve sagging!

So let’s discuss what this formula can do for your skin. The key ingredient in the cream is a dipeptide called carnosine.

Carnosine has skin-soothing, antioxidant, and anti-glycation properties, which means it can help protect skin against oxidative damage caused by free radicals. Ultimately, this helps to prevent the formation of lines and wrinkles. But it’s definitely not going to dramatically improve the look of sagging skin!

The rest of the formula consists of humectants, silicones, and emollients, which help to soften and moisturize skin.

Unfortunately, there’s fragrance in this cream, which may lead to skin sensitivity, and there’s one paraben in the formula.

Bottom Line: Carnosine is the key ingredient in Shiseido Benefiance NutriPerfect Night Cream, which may help prevent the formation of lines and wrinkles, but it’s not going to do anything for sagging skin.

Alternatives: Carrot & Stick The Repair Serum. It contains 7 plant-based peptides to promote smoother skin.

Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream

This is a thick eye cream that helps to instantly soften the skin around the eyes thanks to a blend of emollients like hydrogenated polydecene, mineral oil, petrolatum, and squalane.

As for anti-aging ingredients, the formula includes carnosine and a few peptides. The blend of green, brown, and red algae — what the brand calls “KOMBU-Bounce Complex” — helps to bind moisture to the skin, thereby reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Bottom Line: A thick eye cream that uses emollients, peptides, and algae extracts to smooth the skin around the eyes, but keep in mind there’s fragrance in this formula.

Alternative: If you are concerned about aging and crepey skin around the eyes, one product we recommend is Carrot & Stick The Eye Cream.

Shiseido Benefiance NutriPerfect Day Cream

Shiseido Benefiance NutriPerfect Day Cream is said to be “a powerful, protective day cream for mature skin experiencing visible signs of aging such as discoloration and loss of resilience”, but it’s honestly an overpriced sunscreen, in our opinion.

There’s three chemical sunscreen ingredients in the formula: avobenzone, octinoxate, octocrylene.

While chemical sunscreen ingredients won’t leave a white cast, we don’t recommend these types of sunscreens due to researchthat has shown they absorb through the skin and into the bloodstream. It’s still unclear if these chemicals are linked to health conditions, but it’s known that they do enter the body.

Also, the SPF 18 in this day cream is not enough to protect against sunburn and skin cancer because most organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, recommend using at least SPF 30.

The only anti-aging ingredient in this day cream is carnosine, and like we mentioned above this ingredient helps to protect against free radical damage.

The rest of the formula consists of humectants, silicones, and emollients. There’s nothing wrong with these ingredients. In fact, they are quite beneficial, but they can only help to soften and hydrate skin — they do not help firm skin or reduce wrinkles.

Bottom Line: A day cream with chemical sunscreen ingredients that provides broad-spectrum SPF 18 protection, which isn’t enough to protect against sunburn and skin cancer.

Shiseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream

This is a popular Shiseido eye cream. You’ll notice that this formula also contains a high concentration of glycerin and several different silicones. Combining alcohol with glycerin and silicones will provide an effect that disguises signs of aging.

You see, alcohol tightens the skin, glycerin hydrates the skin and thereby plumps skin, and silicones form a thin, invisible film that can help disguise signs of aging. However, these effects are temporary and will disappear once you wash off the product.

The Shiseido eye cream contains fragrance, which can cause skin sensitivity.

You may notice that this eye cream helps to brighten dark circles, but that’s because the formula contains iron oxides and minerals to basically cover up dark circles rather than actually correcting them.

Bottom Line: This Shiseido eye cream combines ingredients that temporarily disguise signs of aging, but the formula lacks ingredients that actually correct signs of aging long term.

Shiseido Waso Beauty Sleeping Mask

This gel-cream is meant to be used as the final step in your skincare routine. This is another Shiseido product that contains a high concentration of alcohol, which can damage the skin barrier and leads to problems when used long-term for some sensitive skin types.

Besides alcohol, the rest of the formula consists of humectants, dimethicone, and candelilla wax — and that’s it. All of the “key” ingredients, like ginseng, carrot cells, and Moutan bark extract, are used in very low concentrations in this formula (less than 1%).

We know this by looking at the ingredient list (which is in order of descending concentrations). All of these ingredients are listed after the preservative phenoxyethanol, which cannot be used in concentrations of more than 1%.

Bottom Line: A sleeping mask with low concentrations of key ingredients.

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate

A facial serum that includes alcohol as the highest concentration ingredient (after water). This is another Shiseido product that combines alcohol with humectants and silicones to temporarily disguise signs of aging.

Reishi mushroom, which the brand highlights as a “key” ingredient, is the lowest concentration ingredient in this serum.

There’s also a hefty amount of fragrance in this formula, which isn’t doing your skin any good.

Bottom Line: An alcohol-based, fragranced serum that may help temporarily disguise signs of aging, but we still wouldn’t recommend it due to the long-term consequence of using alcohol-based products.

Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector SPF 42 Sunscreen

This Shiseido sunscreen combines the mineral sunscreen zinc oxide with chemical sunscreens octinoxate and octocrylene to provide broad-spectrum SPF 42 protection.

Similar to other Shiseido products, you’ll find high concentrations of denatured alcohol, humectants, and silicones in this sunscreen.

There are also white peony and Baikal skullcap extracts, which both provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. But we don’t believe the benefits of these extracts outweigh the risk of using a product with such a high concentration of denatured alcohol.

Bottom Line: A broad-spectrum SPF 42 sunscreen.

Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+

A clear sunscreen stick that works over and under makeup for sun protection on the go. The combination of four chemical sunscreen ingredients — avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene — provide broad spectrum SPF 50+ protection.

Silicones and emollients make up the rest of the formula, creating a sunscreen that applies easily and doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy or sticky.

There’s a low concentration of fragrance in this sunscreen, which is better than other Shiseido products, but even the low amount could lead to skin sensitivity reactions.

Bottom Line: A clear sunscreen stick that provides broad spectrum SPF 50+ protection thanks to four chemical sunscreen ingredients.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+ Sunscreen

This Shiseido sunscreen includes four chemical sunscreen ingredients — avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene — to provide broad-spectrum SPF 50+ protection. The silky formula goes on clear and rubs in quickly.

But based on the reviews for this Shiseido sunscreen, it still leaves a greasy residue on the skin, as one reviewer says, “This a greasy formula. Yes, it disappears but your skin is shiny and slimy.”

Bottom Line: This broad-spectrum sunscreen provides SPF 50+ and goes on clear, but may leave your skin feeling oily.

Which Shiseido Sunscreen is Right For You?

While we weren’t particularly impressed with any of the Shiseido sunscreen formulations, the best one, in our opinion, is the Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+. There’s no drying alcohol in this formula, and the compact stick makes for easy, portable coverage.

What Are The Key Ingredients in Shiseido Skin Care Products?

If there’s one thing we noticed about Shiseido skincare products, it’s the high concentrations of denatured alcohol in nearly all products.

The problem with this type of alcohol is that, at first, it seems like it’s benefitting the skin. Initially, alcohol gives products a quick-drying finish, immediately degreases the skin, and imparts a weightless feel.

However, these effects are temporary and will disappear once you wash off the product.

The major problem with using high concentrations of denatured alcohol is that this ingredient is well known to cause skin dryness, irritation, and even disruption of the skin barrier.

According to a publication in the journal BBA Biomembranes, alcohol can disrupt the lipids that make up the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of skin).

While alcohol may provide short-term benefits, it’s not doing your skin any good in the long run.

And keep in mind that the brand combines denatured alcohol with high concentrations of humectants and silicones to disguise signs of aging.

Now don’t get us wrong; humectants and silicones aren’t bad ingredients. Humectants draw moisture into the skin and, therefore, are very hydrating. Silicones impart a silky, smooth skin feel while also forming an invisible film on the surface of the skin to lock in moisture.

But like we mentioned earlier, combining these ingredients with denatured alcohol temporarily disguises lines and wrinkles, causing you to think the product is working. In our opinion, this is pretty deceptive, and it’s one reason we don’t recommend Shiseido skincare products.

How Much Do Shiseido Skin Care Products Cost?

Shiseido skincare products are priced at a mid to high range, for example, the Shiseido Waso Color Smart Day Moisturizer costs $38 USD for 50 mL and the White Lucent Anti-Dark Circle Eye Cream costs $65 USD for just 15 mL.

Where to Buy Shiseido Skin Care Products?

Shiseido skincare products are sold on the brand’s website, as well as third-party retailers such as Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s, Walmart, and more. There’s also a store locator on the brand’s website so you can find a physical location that sells Shiseido skincare products near you.

What is The Shiseido Return Policy?

The Shiseido return policy states, “If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your Shiseido Online purchase, you may return it within 30 days of receipt and we will be happy to provide a full merchandise refund in the original form of payment.”

Is Shiseido Cruelty-Free?

Shiseido is not cruelty-free. In the brand’s animal testing policy, they state that they do not test on animals. However, Shiseido skincare products are sold in mainland China where animal testing is required by law.

Is Shiseido Vegan?

Shiseido may offer some products that are suitable for vegans, but this is not a 100% vegan brand.

Shiseido Reviews

Shiseido reviews on the brand’s website are overall very positive. One of the brand’s most popular products — Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+ — has received plenty of positive feedback, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars after more than 1,000 customer reviews.

The positive reviews for this Shiseido sunscreen comment on its convenience, as well as the lightweight texture that doesn’t leave skin looking greasy.

For example, one review says, “This little guy is perfect to keep in the purse, it is so compact and easy to carry. It smells great! Not like typical SPF, and it doesn’t make your face greasy either! I will most definitely be purchasing this again in the future!”

Many reviews also mention how it works well both under and over makeup. For example, “Clear sunscreen is the bomb! Wear it Over or under make-up! Very compact fits in really small spaces. Very convenient and very, very effective!”

However, there are a handful of negative reviews for the Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick from customers who noticed this sunscreen caused their skin to look oily.

For example, one review says, “I felt oily every time I touched my face as if it never sunk in. The stick or lotion are not great sunscreens to wear under makeup, making the foundation slip and unable to set.”

And another 1-star review says, “I didn’t love this. It is pretty expensive AND makes me super shiny/oily.”

Our Verdict

Overall, we don’t recommend Shiseido skincare products because the cons outweigh the pros with nearly all of the brand’s products.

Pros

  • Many positive Shiseido reviews

Cons

  • High price point
  • Nearly all products contain high concentrations of denatured alcohol
  • Nearly all products contain fragrance
  • Some products contain parabens
  • Shiseido is not cruelty-free

What Are Some Alternatives to Shiseido Skin Care Products?

If you’re looking for skincare products to address the signs of aging, we recommend Carrot & Stick. Carrot & Stick maximizes the use of powerful ingredients and minimizes the use of superficial ones, resulting in advanced skincare solutions that help promote healthy, more youthful-looking skin.

Shiseido products are high quality and value for the price – THEIR BIGGEST PROBLEM IS ON-LINE RETAILING. Three times now I have ordered a product advertised as AVAILABLE by Shiseido. Twice Ive had confirmation emails and debit from my account. ” days post both orders they then cancel claiming they didnt have it in stock. Other retailers of similar calibre DONT LET YOU ORDER STUFF THATS OUT OF STOCK (they offer you a “Notify Me” button instead of a “buy Now” button. Upon telephoning Shiseido their Customer Service bots get hostile and defensive. Is this Japanese stylee on-line retailing? RUBBISH AT RETAIL!!!

    Hi Nic!

I’ve been using Shiseido since I was 16-17 yrs old because everyone in my family, my aunties and my mom uses Shiseido, so they would give me their gift samples. And I would try out different ones to see which one works best for me. I’m now 28 and I definitely noticed the difference in my skin compared to my friends in the same age group.

One of my auntie is 73 yrs old. She’s been using bioperformanfe cream for like 30 yrs. she looks 50 yrs old. When she tell people she’s 73, no one believe her. She even got carded for a senior discount once because she barely have any wrinkles and her face are still firm.

If I were you, I would ask the ladies at Shiseido for samples of the different creams to see which one works best. They sometimes give out good size samples too. That way you’re not wasting money Probably try the winkle resist 24 daytime and night time set first. The Bio-performance one is too strong. Also try their creamy face wash it feels nice after you wash it. I didn’t like the white lucent face wash but love the creamy wash. I like their mascara and foundation but I feel that they do a much better job with skin and care products than make-up.
I wouldn’t recommend SK II. A brand that’s very similar but super pricey. They didn’t do anything for my skin and they are so expensive but lacked the evidence of any improvement. I tried it for 6 months and didn’t see any changes. Hope that helps!!

I am currently in my early 20’s and I started using Sheisiedo when I was about 15 as a form of coping with my depression. I found that when I would get up in the morning and take care of my skin that I would generally have a better morning, because my first thought wasn’t about all the bad things I thought about myself but rather it was about how good my skin looked or how soft it felt. Using skincare was the catalyst for my eventual recovery from my depression and the Eating Disorder I struggled with. After years of using the benefiance line and then switching to the ibuki line (ibuki is meant to be for younger skin and is not as harsh) I have amazing skin. I actually feel like my skin looks better sans foundation as a result of using this line, I have tried everything from BB creams to full coverage foundation and none of them look as natural or as good on me as my own natural skin. I realize that skin care is subjective because one product wont work for everyone, but this works for me. I also used to get chest acne and sheisiedo cleared that right up.

Hi! I used to work for Shiseido and it truly changed my skin. I continue to use their products and it’s the only line that won’t irritate my sensitive/ acne prone skin. For recommendations for you, I would recommend one of their pureness cleansers since you get oily in your t zone as well as the pureness softener. For an eye cream, bio performance lift dynamic is an amazing choice for dark circles, puffiness, dryness, and wrinkles. It has new technology with super hyaluronic acid which provides 24 hour hydration as well as peptides and caffeine. I use this everyday and it’s truly amazing. Using the pureness moisturizer during the day would help excess oil and preventing shine. For night time because your skin is renewing new skin cells and needs more hydration then, I would recommend the bio performance glow revival cream. It’s great for fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, any skin roughness, and evening out skin tone. It’s not too heavy or greasy and will help with the aging process as well as your overall skin health. I believe you would love this skincare regimen. It is always okay to mix different lines together. I use pureness, bio performance, and white lucent products.

I`m not a sales rep. My husband has the same oily t-zone and he`s 51.
I offered him Bio-Performance- The Power to Correct Set for $114.00. He is not a skincare kind of guy but he`s noticed the difference. And I do too. That`s how I would start, before buying a bunch of products that may not work for you. Ps: Shiseido has always been ahead of their times.

So far I have bought the men cleansing foam and shiseido men moisturizing lotion.
I have seen a difference on my face and both products feel so soft and best of all ..they do not contain perfum that will irritate my skin. I kind of pespire when I put on colognes or products containing fragrances..so I avoid.
I heard about Shiseido..but never really thought about it in a serious way I only thought the major european companies were the ideal for skin care…how wrong I was!!
I have tried samples of other brands but kind of irritated my skin and dried it even more..so thats why I turned to Shiseido ..so far looking good and to think I haven’t bought the major products yet.

Shiseido is number one! They have many lines and formulations suitable for all skin types every line has its specific target. I prefer future solution, bio performance and benifiance. My skin is combination and they tend to be a bit heavy for me but it in the end my skin looks as it did 10 years ago well almost… I’ve been using Shiseido since I was 19. It is expensive but you pay for what you get and it is well worth it. Just be sure you use the right product!

Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Resist 24 is made in America and just because it is a japanese brand it does not mean it is not suited for our skin types. Our skin is almost identical to asian skin, there is no major different. You sound very stubborn to make such a arrogant comment. Shiseido White Lucent Luminizing Surge Review

The Shiseido White Lucent Luminizing Surge was designed to serve as a moisturizing, luminizing and brightening emulsion that targets specific points of dullness while also improving the overall condition of your skin. The consistency of this product rides the line between serum, toner and moisturizer, creating a luxurious yet lightweight feeling on the skin. According to the brand, this product works by creating an invisible veil to protect your skin from outside factors that can lead to skin damage. Ingredients like Japanese cherry blossoms, which are part of the SakuraResist Technology that is at the core of this formula. This technology works to minimize the appearance of future dark spots as well as prevent them from occurring in the future. This technology as well as the 4MSK complex helps to encourage brightness and luminosity in the skin, giving this unique product its name.

    Shiseido Clarifying Cleansing Foam Review

The Shiseido Clarifying Cleansing Foam proves that you can have the best of both worlds when it comes to a cleanser. More and more dermatologists are finding that foaming cleansers can irritate sensitive or dry skin types. But for many of us, its hard to give up that satisfying foaming formula in favor of something that can feel like its not quite clarifying enough. Because of this, products like the Shiseido Clarifying Cleansing Foam offers a cleanser that does lightly foam, but contains a moisturizing and hydrating base that mitigates any dryness or sensitivity. The formula behind this product also contains gentler surfactants, which are found in both foaming and non-foaming cleansers, as cleansing agents that won’t strip the skin or damage the moisture barrier. Instead, this agents deliver a gentle yet satisfying cleanse and level the skin feeling calm, hydrated and balanced.

Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening Serum Review

Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening Serum is claimed to boost clarity, support micro-circulation for vibrancy, and inhibit melanin formation to prevent dark spots. Unfortunately, this formula has the potential to actually cause signs of aging due to its very high concentration of denatured alcohol. In fact, denatured alcohol is the second highest concentration ingredient in this formula after water. Denatured alcohol is well known to cause skin dryness, irritation, and even disruption of the skin barrier, especially when used in high concentrations. The combination of denatured alcohol with glycerin and dimethicone (which are also used in high concentrations in this formula) will temporarily reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This is because alcohol tightens the skin, glycerin hydrates the skin and thereby plumps skin, and dimethicone forms a thin, invisible film that can help disguise signs of aging. However, these effects are temporary and will disappear once you wash off the product. The key brightening ingredients in this formula, such as vitamin C, resveratrol, and white lily extract, are used in very low concentrations, less than 1%. We know this by looking at the ingredient list (which is in order of descending concentrations). All of these ingredients are listed after the preservative phenoxyethanol, which cannot be used in concentrations more than 1%.

Shiseido Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector Review

Shiseido Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector is an oil-free, tinted daily sunscreen moisturizer that is said to defend your skin against UV rays and environmental aggressors while blending flawlessly. It is available in three shades that give the skin a hint of color and provide sheer coverage. The active sunscreen ingredients in this formula include ensulizole (2%), octinoxate (7.4%), and titanium dioxide (7.2%). The first two ingredients are chemical sunscreen agents, which protect the skin by first absorbing UV light, then transforming that light energy into some other form of energy, such as heat. In contrast, titanium dioxide works by blocking or deflecting UV light, rather than being absorbed by the skin. The combination of these ingredients provides broad spectrum protection, which means the skin is protected from both UVA and UVB rays.

One drawback with the Shiseido Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector is the high concentration of denatured alcohol used in this formula, which is listed as ‘SD alcohol’ on the list of inactive ingredients. Denatured alcohol is well known to cause skin dryness, irritation, and even disruption of the skin barrier, especially when used in high concentrations. The combination of denatured alcohol with the other main ingredients in this formula, like dimethicone, polymethyl methacrylate, and glycerin will temporarily reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This is because alcohol tightens the skin, dimethicone and polymethyl methacrylate form a thin, invisible film that can help disguise signs of aging, and glycerin hydrates the skin and thereby plumps skin. However, these effects are temporary and will disappear once you wash off the product.

Shiseido Benefiance Extra Creamy Cleansing Foam Review

Most of the time, second step cleansers come in two textures: creamy or foam. While creams can be great for drier skin types and foams suit oily skin types well. But this can leave a bit of a gap for those with combination skin types. If you’re looking for the best of both worlds, you may want to check out something like the Shiseido Benefiance Extra Creamy Cleansing Foam. This product was developed to act as a gentle foaming cleanser that transforms into a creamy lather upon application. The formula contains granules of bio-hyaluronic acid which helps to hydrate the skin as you cleanse, preventing any post-cleansing dryness. Because of this, the skin feels completely cleansed and free of impurities, without upsetting the delicate pH balance of your skin or dryness out the surface. With all this in mind, this product would be best for those of you who appreciate a foaming cleanser, but have a difficult time finding a cleanser that doesn’t dry out your skin.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion Review

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion is a lightweight SPF 50+ sunscreen for face and body in a clear formula that becomes more effective when exposed to water. The active sunscreen ingredients are avobenzone (2.5%), octinoxate (4.9%), octocrylene (5%), and oxybenzone (3%). All of these ingredients are chemical sunscreen agents, which protect the skin by first absorbing UV light, then transforming that light energy into some other form of energy, such as heat. The combination of these ingredients provides broad spectrum protection, which means the skin is protected from both UVA and UVB rays.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion features the brand’s WetForce technology, which provides the skin a protective veil that becomes stronger as it comes into contact with water or perspiration. The formula is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. There are several botanical extracts in this formula that offer antioxidant benefits, such as Saxifraga sarmentosa extract, Sophora angustifolia root extract, and Syzygium jambos leaf extract. Antioxidants limit oxidative damage caused by free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. Lastly, Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion combines lightweight emollients, silicones, and absorbent ingredients that allow this formula to absorb into the skin quickly while still providing a soft, non-sticky finish.

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam Review

Cleansers can be extremely tricky to get right, especially if your skin is prone to dehydration, dryness or sensitivity. But thankfully, there are many more brands out there these days that are offering more gentle cleansing alternatives that are free of harsh chemical surfactants and drying cleansing agents. One of the brands that has been offering these types of cleansers for years is Shiseido. Products like the Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam were specifically designed to be completely gentle on skin, yet extremely purifying. As the name would suggest, this product is a foaming cleanser that removes impurities that can accumulate throughout the day. But what makes this product unique is that it is capable of providing that throughout cleanse without disrupting your skin’s essential moisture barrier.

    Shiseido Purifying Mask Review

A good clay mask is one of those skincare essentials that have been firmly rooted in our routines for centuries. Using clay as a detoxifying agent and a skincare booster has been seen in different cultures and societies throughout history, and this rich tradition is still very much alive today. Brands like Shiseido have even go so far as to reinvent the clay mask with products like the Shiseido Purifying mask. This product was designed to highlight clay’s natural abilities to absorb impurities that can make the skin appear more dull and dehydrated in order to deliver a more refined appearance. Getting deeper into this formula, we can see that this product doesn’t just contain one type of clay, but three different types including kaolin, bentonite and tanakura clays. Each of these clays offer different benefits, so using them in combination helps to extend the applications of this multi-tasking mask. Kaolin clay is a great standby, and is often considered to be one of the best clay types for those with more sensitive skin types. Bentonite clay on the other hand is a lifesaver for those with acne-prone skin, as this clay is capable of extracting impurities from your skin that are deep inside the pores. Finally, tanakura clay is a japanese clay that is less prominent than the previous two, but still just as good at removing impurities while respecting the skin’s moisture barrier.

    Shiseido Cleansing Oil Review

Shiseido is one of the great titans in the skincare industry, and they have been continuously creating unique and beneficial products and treatments for decades. If you’re looking to get into the brand and what to try some of their tried and true cult classics, there’s no better place to start than the Shiseido Cleansing Oil. The Perfect Cleansing Oil was designed to act as a one step solution for those who want to remove their makeup effortlessly. Some of these cleansers also contain alcohols which can dry out your skin. In order to avoid this, the Perfect Cleansing Oil is a nourishing, oil based formula which dissolves makeup, instead of just pulling it away. This particular formula also contains Shiseido’s unique Gentle Quick-Removing Technology which allows this product to work well on both wet or dry skin, so you can customize this product to work well with your individual skincare routine.

    Shiseido Ibuki Softening Concentrate Review

If you’re looking for a skin softening treatment that easy to incorporate into your everyday skincare routine, you may want to look out for the Shiseido Ibuki Softening Concentrate. This product was designed to act as a skin smoothing and softening liquid that delivers a range of ingredients that immediately make the skin feel and look smoother and softer. This product is most commonly identified as a toner, but this is a far cry from the western style toner that are packed with astringents and acne fighting agents. Instead, this product is much closer to an Asian style toner, which focuses on delivering lightweight yet effective layers of hydration. Sometimes referred to a ‘skins’, these lightweight layers of moisture help to plump and smooth the skin without overdoing it with heavier, more rich ingredients. The formula behind this product contains one of the brand’s most well known ingredient complexes, known as the PhytoResist Complex. This blend enhances skin’s natural moisturizing factors or NMF while simultaneously refining skin texture. This same blend also works to build up the skin’s resistance to external and environmental stressors including sun damage and free radical damage.

Shiseido Essentials Firming Body Cream Review

Often times, we become so focused on creating the perfect facial care routine that we forget to take proper care of the skin on the rest of our body. If you’re starting to notice that your skin is becoming a little too dry, dull or droopy, you may want to try using a more targeted body moisturizer such as the Shiseido Essentials Firming Body Cream. This product was designed to feature a surprisingly lightweight texture that sinks into the skin quickly and efficiency, ideal for post-shower moisturization. But while the texture is lightweight, the formula is surprisingly rich with nourishing ingredients including plant oils and butters. Shiseido Eye Cream

Shiseido Eye Cream: Product Information and Overview Shiseido Eye Cream is marketed by the Shiseido Corporation, a Japanese pharmaceutical company that was founded in 1872. The company was initially launched as a solution to offer Japanese customers a western-style pharmacy that included a number of different health and beauty products. Today, Shiseido markets a number of different products, from Shiseido Eye Cream to facial serum and skin care kits all over the globe. The company’s goals are to offer their customers beauty items that are created with a blend of both eastern and western philosophies in order to offer customers a more comprehensive line of products. Shiseido Eye Cream Ingredients and Overview

Shiseido Eye Cream is formulated to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. These lines and wrinkles, including crow’s feet, appear as people get older and are the result of making the same facial gestures repeatedly, such as smiling, frowning, and concentrating. The loss of collagen in the dermis layer of the skin also plays a role in the formation of lines and undereye wrinkles. Shiseido Eye Cream is designed to counteract the formation of these lines by moisturizing the skin and stimulating collagen production. The active ingredients include bio hyaluronic acid N and hydroxyproline, which the company claims increases collagen production and boosts hydration to the skin.

Shiseido Ultimune Amplifying Night Mask Review

Shiseido Ultimune Amplifying Night Mask. This product hasn’t actually hit the market yet, but it’s set to release in late January 2019. This product is part of the Ultimune line, which currently has two other products. This includes the Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate and the Ultimune Eye Power Infusing Eye Concentrate. This collection was created in order to boost the efficacy of all the other products in your already existing skincare routine while simultaneously helping to boost the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, which can decrease as we age. Although there isn’t too much information out yet about the new Shiseido Ultimune Amplifying Night Mask, its safe to assume that this product will follow in the last two products footsteps and will probably aim to target specific aging skin concerns including dryness, dehydration, fine lines and wrinkles and sagging skin.

Another product, the Shiseido Bio Performance Super Corrective Eye Cream, works by stimulating the production of hyaluronic acid in the skin, which temporarily reduces the appearance of wrinkles by drawing moisture and increasing volume under the skin.

    Shiseido Sunscreen

Shiseido Sunscreen reviews can be found all over the web, but if you want to find the most effective sun protection, you first have to understand that not all sun block is created equal and the effectiveness of a product depends heavily on the ingredients it contains. Now, you've probably already tried to take measures to protect yourself. For example, before considering Shiseido sunscreen, you may have already developed a habit for wearing long sleeved shirts and hats to protect the skin. Or maybe you use a facial moisturizer with a sunscreen to give your body's largest organ in your body an added boost. But clothing unfortunately fails to protect facial skin, and moisturizers with SPF ratings are often ineffective, because they're just not concentrated enough. Products like the Shiseido sunscreen, however, can be a possible solution in some cases, because they combine UV-fighting ingredients with other chemicals that help nourish the skin.

    Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate

For consumers considering preventative measures to ensure healthy skin, products like Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate may offer a viable solution for strengthening the skin’s natural protective barrier and stimulating repair processes. This product is claimed to fortify the skin, so that it can better withstand damage from environmental factors and the natural aging process. However, before trying Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, it’s vital to understand how it works, and the ingredients contained in the formulation. Only by carefully assessing the chemicals in this Shiseido serum can the consumer make a valid assessment about the product’s potential effectiveness. Further, reading Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate reviews and speaking to a dermatologist can go a long way in making the best purchasing decision and reducing chances of serious side effects.
