Instantly Ageless Review

Founded in 2008 by Greg and Kellie Serrault, Instantly Ageless is an anti-aging beauty brand that became popular after their first product: Instantly Ageless Facelift in a Box. The product line has expanded, and today, there are several more Instantly Ageless skin and hair care products. The Instantly Ageless product line is sold mainly through wholesale channels to spas, medical offices, hair salons, beauty stores, pharmacies, boutiques, and gift shops.

In this Instantly Ageless review, we’ll discuss key products and their formulation, Instantly Ageless reviews from real customers, and an alternative for you to consider. 

Key products

Instantly Ageless products include Facelift in a Box, Moisture Lift, Hair Building Fibers, Fiber Finishing Spray, and Sands of Time. Since Facelift in a Box is the key product by Instantly Ageless, we will focus on that product for the rest of this review. 

Instantly Ageless Facelift in a Box is an anti-wrinkle microcream that is said to instantly and visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, puffy eyes, and dark circles. It can be applied anywhere on the face, neck, and chest. It is recommended to use a water-based moisturizer (the brand recommends their Instantly Ageless Moisture Lift product) prior to application as this serum works best on clean, soft skin.

Any additional products, such as creams, toners, sunscreens, or serums used prior to cosmetics must be applied prior to using Instantly Ageless Facelift in a Box. It’s important to note that oil-based products may reduce the effectiveness of Instantly Ageless Facelift in a Box. It’s best to wait at least a minute before applying any other product. 

Key formulation

There are only seven ingredients in the Instantly Ageless Facelift in a Box formula: purified water, sodium silicate, magnesium silicate, acetyl hexapeptide-3, iron oxide, phenoxyethanol, and ethylhexylglycerin. Iron oxide is a synthetic colorant and the final two ingredients (phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin) are preservatives. Thus, the main ingredients in this formula are sodium silicate, magnesium silicate, and acetyl hexapeptide-3. 

Sodium silicate, also known as liquid glass, creates a film that contracts the skin as it dries, creating a temporary lift to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The results are said to last all day. However, as soon as the product is washed off the effect is gone. One problem with sodium silicate is that it is highly alkaline, which means it has a high pH level. In chemistry, pH stands for “potential hydrogen” and it refers to the level of acidity or alkalinity in a given solution.

The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. A pH of 7 is neutral, a pH less than 7 is acidic, and a pH greater than 7 is alkaline. Since the skin’s normal pH is about 5.5, highly alkaline ingredients like sodium silicate can be damaging to the skin. 

Magnesium aluminum silicate is a naturally occurring mineral that may also be referred to as purified clay. In most skin care products, this ingredient is used to absorb excess facial oil and/or thicken the product’s formula. However, in a product like Instantly Ageless Facelift in a Box, magnesium aluminum silicate increases the wrinkle-filling and plumping action of sodium silicate.

If sodium silicate were used alone, there would not be as much of a “fill” within the wrinkle to lift and smooth it. Magnesium aluminum silicate adds bulk to the wrinkle while sodium silicate lifts the wrinkle. The end result is an instantly smoothed wrinkle. However, keep in mind that these ingredients produce temporary results. We prefer products that offer long term results, such as serums with active anti aging ingredients that work in the deepest layers of the skin. 

Acetyl hexapeptide-3, also known as Argireline, is a six amino acid peptide and is a fragment of SNAP-25 (a substrate of botulinum toxin). It works by limiting the ability of neurotransmitters to activate movement in your facial muscles, for example, when forming facial expressions such as smiling or frowning. By inhibiting the nerves that cause facial muscles to contract, subtle facial expressions are limited and wrinkles are subsequently reduced.

Controlled studies have shown that Argireline improves the appearance of facial areas prone to developing dynamic folds, including around the eyes and in the forehead area. Unlike the other two key ingredients in the Instantly Ageless Facelift in a Box, acetyl hexapeptide-3 will produce long-term results. 

Another product in the Instantly Ageless range is the Sands of Time. This is a microdermabrasion alternative that uses Alumina to gently exfoliate skin. It helps shed dead skin and brighten the complexion. This is an excellent formulation but you can only use it once or twice per week. When using this exfoliator, make sure you avoid the sun or wear a strong SPF. It is also not suited to sensitive skin types. 

Instantly Ageless reviews

Instantly Ageless reviews on The Derm Review are mixed. 

On one hand, one user wrote: “Instantly ageless used to be the best. They now do not put as much of the Argireline in so now it is worthless. Are used to swear by that product for the last few years they took so much out that it doesn’t hardly titan anything anymore that’s why the Cost went down what a rip off”. 

And a positive review said: “Love love the new Cell Forte Skincare Set – Serum & Cream. I wouldn’t say it’s instantly ageless, but they are packed with nutrients that benefit your skin over time, for less wrinkles, more even skin tones and smoother skin.”
